Our clients’ needs come first. Period. We stake a 37-year business reputation of absolute integrity in the personal trust and estate management business on each and every engagement. One of the area’s most active estate sellers, averaging 30 sales per year, Carol has been in the business for 19 years, following a 15-year career as a registered nurse specializing in operating room and plastic surgery.
Her thorough knowledge of both antiques and regular personal property was first gained as one of the original dealers at Antiqueland Mall in Plano (1995-2001). She gave up her retail business in 2001 to strictly concentrate on estate sales and appraisals of personal property, which also served to reduce potential conflicts of interest.
Carol is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) www.isa-appraisers.org. She stays active in the North Texas chapter after four years as an officer and attends National conference most years. She spends several weeks per year receiving continuing education training, having completed the ISA’s Antiques and Residential Contents course and many seminars and classes on various types of antiques and collectibles. She also received art conservation instruction at the Phoenix Art Conservation Laboratory in San Antonio. In the fall of 2005 she was selected as one of the Dallas area’s top appraisers by DHome magazine, and she appeared in their 2006 Dallas Gold Pages. Finally, she was chosen as one of the antiques appraisers for the Junior League of Dallas’ “Antique is Chic” appraisal event (similar to the PBS Antiques Roadshow) held in conjunction with their Days of Spring Market in April of 2006. She maintains current USPAP certification.
Carol’s appraisal work involves estate settlement, Federal Estate Tax valuations, insurance, divorce, charitable donations, and business reorganizations.
She has also lectured on the value of antiques, collectibles and personal property to numerous church groups, social clubs, AARP chapters, and spoke for the Private Client Group of a major Texas bank and area Bar Association.
Carol resides in the Canyon Creek area of Richardson, Texas and conducts her estate liquidation and appraisal business primarily in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
