Carol Matesic, ISA CAPP
President/Founder/Certified Appraiser
Carol Matesic has been one of North Texas's most respected estate sale professionals since founding JLA Treasures in 1996. Following a distinguished 15-year career as a registered nurse, she built JLA Treasures into one of the region's leading estate liquidation firms, conducting an average of more than 35 estate sales and auctions annually.
Over the past three decades, Carol has appraised, marketed, and liquidated some of the largest and most complex estates throughout North and East Texas and Southern Oklahoma. Her extensive experience, combined with a commitment to integrity and professionalism, has earned the trust of attorneys, fiduciaries, financial professionals, and families facing significant estate transitions.
Carol holds the prestigious ISA CAPP (Certified Appraiser of Personal Property) designation through the International Society of Appraisers—the organization's highest professional credential. She is also a member of ISA's Private Client Services Group, an invitation-only network of senior appraisers with specialized expertise serving high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and complex estates.
In addition to her appraisal practice, Carol has served as a Director of The Foundation for Appraisal Education and recently completed her term as Chair of the International Society of Appraisers' National Ethics Committee, reflecting her longstanding commitment to advancing professional education and the highest ethical standards within the appraisal profession.
Gary Matesic, AEP®, TEP®

Gary Matesic brings more than five decades of estate, trust, appraisal, and overall fiduciary experience to JLA Treasures. Throughout a distinguished 50-plus-year career, he has worked extensively with trustees, executors, attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, and high-net-worth families, providing expertise in estate and trust administration, valuation, fiduciary matters, and the disposition of personal property.
A former president of the Dallas Estate Planning Council, Gary holds the internationally recognized Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP®) designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the prestigious Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designation awarded by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. He also holds a Master of Science in Taxation (MST) and is a USPAP-qualified personal property appraiser.
An avid automotive enthusiast for more than 60 years, since 1996 Gary has specialized in the appraisal, marketing, and sale of current, collector, and specialty motor vehicles, including significant private collections and estate-owned automobiles. His unique combination of fiduciary expertise and collector car knowledge enables JLA Treasures to provide clients with informed, independent guidance when valuable vehicles are part of an estate.
